The real measure of impact isn’t titles or achievements it’s the lives we touch

Two years in Athens/Greece have reminded me of a truth I’ve seen throughout my journey, in global ERP programs, in my military service and now here: real impact isn’t measured by titles or achievements. It’s measured by the lives we touch

Alongside my independent advisory work, I volunteer as a coach for young people in Athens who are rebuilding their lives after addiction. I bring structure, guidance and encouragement the same principles I’ve leaned on when leading teams and advising clients and honestly, it’s humbling to see how simply showing up can give someone direction and hope

For me, leadership has never been just about results on paper. It’s about stepping in where it matters, creating clarity and helping people move forward

If you’ve ever thought about volunteering as a mentor, coach or supporter don’t overthink it. Just start, even a few hours of your time can change someone’s path and in the process, it might change you too
